Insurance
Most people want to know: Can I use my insurance?
Participating Insurance Companies (In-Network):
If you are a subscriber to these insurance plans, you will likely have mental health coverage. I recommend that you contact your insurance company to learn about your eligibility and benefits for “out patient mental health office visits”.
Telehealth: Most plans are currently covering telehealth services, however you should check with your specific plan about these details.
Out of Network:
I am “Out of Network” with all other insurance plans. What this means:
If you have out-of-network benefits you can check to see if my services will be reimbursed under your plan. You’ll want to ask: “What are my mental/behavioral health outpatient office visit benefits?”
Clients pay for services at the time of service. For some insurance companies, such as BCBS, MVP, and Aetna, I can submit the claim electronically as a courtesy at no additional cost to the client. This allows for faster and more accurate processing of your claim. Ask if I can do the same for your insurance company!
Alternatively, I can provide a “Superbill” with all the necessary information on it and you send it to your insurance company for reimbursement, usually accompanied by a brief form.

I have my Psychotherapy “R” Privilege, which is an LCSW who fulfills the requirements of the insurance law for supervised experience providing psychotherapy, is recognized in New York State as a reimbursable psychotherapist. The “R” privilege requires insurance carriers to provide reimbursement for psychotherapy services whenever a health insurance contract includes reimbursement of qualified psychologists and psychiatrists (http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/sw/lcswprivilege.htm).
Payment
Payment is due at the time of services. I accept cash, checks and most major credit cards through a PCI Compliant platform. Please email [email protected] for more information or submit a request form for services. You will receive a Financial Informed Consent clearly outlining all costs so there are no surprises!
Cancellation Policy
Your session block of time has been reserved especially for you and can be anywhere from 30-55 minutes in length. Often with late cancellations we cannot fill that time slot in time to make up for the lost revenue.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a late cancellation/no show fee of $50, which is not billable through insurance. Late cancellation/no show of an ADHD evaluation testing session will result in a $100 fee due to the amount of time blocked off for those appointments.
We try to be fair and flexible with clients when there are illness and severe and sudden weather related issues barring you from attending/cancelling your appointment on time, however we appreciate as much notice as possible and offer telehealth sessions as well.
