  • About Sarah Linder

    LCSW-R, EMDR Certified

    (she/her)

No matter what background, it seems that everyone is searching for some peace and happiness in their lives and for many different reasons they have become stuck in trying to figure out how to accomplish this goal.

I specialize in ADHD evaluations and treatment for all ages, Pediatric OCD , Anxiety, and EMDR. While I specialize in children and adolescents about 50% of my caseload at any given time is comprised of adults over 18.

Throughout my education and career I have focused on a specialty in children, adolescents and families. I was raised with a heart for compassion and understanding and a natural ability to tune into other people’s emotions. I would love to help you harness your own strengths and hopefully release any barriers present that keeps you from your goals.

Some things about me that might matter to you:

I strive to put my therapeutic beliefs into action in my own life and with my own family, which I believe leads to authenticity in my work with people. Perfection is not the goal; I am a whole person with strengths and challenges just like the rest of us!
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, walking my 3 rescue dogs (not all at once!) and cuddling with my 2 rescue cats and bunny, listening to music, reading fantasy or historical fiction, painting with watercolors, watching a funny show, and connecting with family and friends. I am a naturally curious person who loves to learn new things.

I’m a LGBTQ+ ally, anti-racist, earth-loving, animal protecting, meditating, secular therapist. With that said, do I always get it right? No!

I strive to put my therapeutic beliefs into action in my own life and with my own family, which I believe leads to authenticity in my work with people, but perfection is not the goal. I am a whole person with strengths and challenges just like the rest of us, trying to figure things out, enjoy this life and make a positive impact.

What do all these trainings and certificates mean? Great question!

Bottom line: I am the type of therapist who admits when they do not know something. I am the type of therapist who also tries to learn and figure it out or get you to the right person who will know. I know enough about different treatment modalities (even if I am not trained in them or it has been a long time since I have used them), to give you options.

I am the type of therapist who pays attention to the details of your life, pulls the pieces together by observing patterns and uses all my knowledge from years of experience and training to help you get to where you want to be. I know when behaviors and thoughts are “normal” or “typical” and when something needs attention.

I am the kind of therapist who can laugh when something is funny and be serious when it’s not. I genuinely enjoy people and getting to know them. What my training allows is for me to show up as a whole person who can sit with you through life’s ups and downs, all the while keeping us focused on the path to wellness.

You can rely on me to be honest about what might work and not work for your specific needs and trust that if that isn’t me, I will try my best to get you to the help you need.
