  • Our Team Approach

We are lucky to have Kelly Dorman, NPP working with our program as an independent contractor. Independent contractors can agree to provide some professional services for agreed upon rates.  This is a special business relationship that allows us to easily connect you to a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, but where the NP reserves the right to control when she works, how she works and what she does in that work.

The benefit to our clients is that they receive collaborative care without all the hassle of coordinating that care for themselves!

Meet Kelly, our ADHD Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner!

Kelly Dorman, NPP is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has 12+ years of nursing experience and is also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. Kelly is well experienced in medication treatment for mental health symptoms and specializes in treating ADHD in all populations, especially girls, women and females-assigned-at-birth.

Kelly strives for a wholistic approach to wellness and considers the whole-person when providing care, focusing on stability first and then what interventions will help the individual best thrive in their environment.

In her spare time Kelly loves to tend to her plants and garden, walk her adorable St. Bernard, travel and learn. We couldn’t be more proud to have her on our team!

    Working Together

Diagnosis and treatment for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) should include the whole person.

What does this mean? At this practice, we understand that while neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, OCD, etc.) can come with a lot of strengths and unique perspectives, among other positive things, there also is a higher prevalence rate for many physical health challenges.

ADHD in particular can affect long-term health outcomes, impact diet, sleep, access to care, activity level, and on and on. Fact Sheet on Health Outcomes for ADHD by Dr. Russell Barkley, PhD

According to ADHD expert, Dr. Russell Barkley, PhD, the best package to reduce ADHD symptoms involves:

    • Education/Understanding
    • Medication
    • Accommodation
    • Modification

Kelly and Sarah work together to help you make changes in your life. Sometimes this looks like medication or therapy, but sometimes this also looks like helping you get that bloodwork done to rule out low iron levels, hormone issues or thyroid problems that can contribute to fatigue and concentration problems. Sometimes it looks like helping you be honest about your eating patterns and helping you to figure out what foods you can and will eat for lunch, even if you’ve forgotten it that day!

We are here for you and pride ourselves on understanding that ADHD affects ALL areas of life!
